FOCUS Leadership Academy is a Linked Learning community with a collaborative college and career preparatory program. We will immerse students in an environment that offers exposure to a myriad of career options, interdisciplinary modalities, and project based learning. We believe that exploring ourselves and our own interests and strengths, while assessing our global economy are key to understanding the present and creating our future. We will prepare students for success by implementing the FOUR CRUCIAL ELEMENTS of Linked Learning:

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT
Empower Students Through Personal Growth
FOCUS leaders will complete a 4- year digital resume which places emphasis on the “student as a whole”, rather than just the “academic student”. This resume will be a personal “pitch deck” to prospective educational institutions, internship and apprenticeship opportunities which will highlight their individual strengths in Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership.
Building this resume over the course of their high school career will FOCUS students daily on their post secondary-educational goals. The intensely cooperative nature of the Linked Learning community will put every student in position to pursue the full range of postsecondary options, whether trade school, college, or other credentialing programs.
